History Credo (which is "I believe" in Latin and comes from credere = to believe) is more than just a word, it is both our creed and our mission.
More than 60 years ago, some believers decided to start camps for young people so that they could bring them closer to Jesus and deepen their faith. This work has been supported throughout all these years by our many collaborators and their commitment to this statement: ‘Credo’, I believe. It is how obstacles and resistance were resolved. Since then, many children and young people have come to know Jesus Christ personally.
The Unspunnen castle was purchased to be used for the credo work, and since then thousands of people of all ages have had wonderful and relaxing stays at Credo. This is a place where they can encounter and experience God.
The kids’ camps are still at the heart of Credo’s mission. They are the reason why the Credo Association (Credo Verein) exists and continues to support these camps in many ways. |
